1. Realize mechatronics

For the mechatronics gear transmission device with the above functions, its characteristics are: the input shaft and output shaft of the micro planetary reducer are coaxial, and the motor shaft should be tightly connected with its load. In structure, the shaft of the motor can be connected with the input of the planetary gear reducer, that is, the shaft of the motor and the gear shaft of the sun gear a are located on the same main shaft line and connected with each other. The output shaft of the planetary gear reducer (which is connected with the internal gear e as a whole) is the output shaft of the combination, thus forming a built-in gear transmission device which is composed of the motor and the planetary gear reducer. It can also be said that the motor and planetary gear reducer become a low-speed motor, and its output shaft can be directly connected with the working machine. Now the key problem is: in order to make this kind of micro planetary gear reducer with motor practical, we need a micro motor with good performance and practicability, which is similar to the size of the micro planetary gear reducer.

2. Gear lubrication

The problem of gear lubrication in gear transmission is very important for the development of micro planetary gear transmission. Many scholars engaged in tribological research are committed to better solve this problem. The lubrication of micro planetary gear transmission is more important. According to the relevant literature, in the general transmission of power gear reducer, the smaller the diameter of the main shaft of the gear reducer, the greater the proportion of the friction torque in the total power loss. However, it is not easy to measure very small friction torque accurately in micro machine. But the proportion of friction torque in the total power loss of the micro planetary gear reducer can be calculated, and it will increase. At present, people pay special attention to the research work in the field of micro tribology, and expect that it can effectively solve the lubrication problem of micro planetary gear reducer in the near future, which plays a great role in promoting the practicality of the micro planetary gear reducer.

At present, new research work is being carried out to make the micro planetary gear reducer more practical and miniaturized. Moreover, we can expect that the micro planetary gear reducer will be developed and successfully applied in mechanical engineering in the future.
