Through practice, it is found that the noise influence factors of worm gear transmission are completely different from those of ordinary parallel shaft gears. For example, for parallel shaft gears, the deviation of tooth profile has a great influence on the noise, while the influence of worm gear is very small, or even no influence.
For the worm gear, the pitch deviation of the worm has a great influence on the noise, because the pitch pair of the worm produces high-frequency periodic noise, which leads to the increase of the noise value;
For a real worm gear, the neutral of the worm and the middle section of the worm gear has a great influence on the noise, which needs special attention; For the combination of worm and helical gear, there is no such problem.
