The contact point of the teeth of the engaged gear shall be at least 80% of the full length of the teeth. The gear can rotate freely. The reducer filled with oil to the working oil level shall not leak oil from the connecting part of flange plate.

4. For trial run of the reducer of sand making machine, after assembly, the reducer shall be put into trial run for 3-4 hours under the condition of no load, and its speed shall be gradually increased to the full speed.

5. During the trial run of the reducer, check the heating temperature of the bearing and listen to the action of the gear.

6. After the trial run of the reducer, open the reducer and check the correctness of the gear engagement according to the grinding of the teeth, and the bearing should be seen according to the trace of the bearing contacting Babbitt alloy. After eliminating all the defects, the reducer can be installed on the unit.

7. The test time of the reducer determines the nature of the repair work, which is generally in the range of 2-6 hours.
